Clinical supervisor vs educational supervisor

The named clinical supervisor (CS) supervises day-to-day clinical work in one placement and drives the PSG. The named educational supervisor (ES) oversees the trainee’s overall progress across the programme. Where one person holds both roles (common in a first placement), a combined ES/CS end-of-placement report can be used.

PSG ≠ TAB ≠ PSA

PSG = Placement Supervision Group feedback on clinical competence. TAB = Team Assessment of Behaviour, on professional behaviours. TAB cannot substitute for PSG, and one satisfactory PSG round is required per training level. PSA is the Prescribing Safety Assessment exam — unrelated.
